A Celebration of Fathers
Tonight Paul, Sue, Cliff and i took papa out to dinner at Slow's in Detroit where we had a delicious dinner including pulled pork, corn bread, mac-n-cheese, baked beans, jambalaya and beef brisket. From there we went to one of Papa's favorite haunt's - Nemo's where Papa told the story of his first visit there with Paul after a game, of course he was only about 4 or 5 and when papa walked away to get some cokes and fries some men sat down near Paul which i guess freaked him out because when Papa came back to the table he found Paul sittlng in the lap of a beautiful women comforting him because he had been crying. Next it was onto the play "Ernie" at the City Theatre, a tribute to the late great Ernie Harwell, not sure how long the show is running but it you get a chance to see it i highly recommended it, the actor who plays Ernie sounded so much like him.
