I caught the fabricatin' bug!

I recently tried my hand at quilting, after Sharon bought me a "jelly roll"! For those of you non-quilters that is a term for pre-cut strips of material rolled into a cute little bundle. Many people have posted tutorials on how to quickly put together a quilt top naming the technique "jelly roll race". While I was in no hurry to complete this task I did in fact sew the quilt top in a couple hours.

With this technique you sew the strips end to end until they are all sewn together and then:

you will have a long strip of fabric almost 1800 inches long. After folding it in half several times and sewing it each time you end up with a quilt top.

After lots of thinking, sketching, creating, more sewing and a ten hour drive in the back of an RV where I hand sewed the binding a quilt was born.
