Trash to Treasure

While perusing the aisles of the Salvation Army i came across an item that screamed at me - what was it saying you ask, "take me home i will make a great photo prop". So of course i picked it up and took it home.

Can't wait to photograph some pudgy little toddler on this bike, if you or someone you know fits this category call me!

Nostalgia

In my continuing effort to cut down on clutter i started yet another project, the reorganization of the laundry room. It is always a scary thing to open up a box from the past because it could lead to hours of nostalgia as i paw through items from days gone by. Well upon opening a box labeled Crystal's old things i found a few things that made me think .....wait for it......"hey that would make a great photo prop". One such item was this very clever toy that i found myself anxious to play with again. This cool virtually indestructible Shape-O toy was made by Tupperware and i remember opening it up over and over while crystal would put the correct shapes in their matching holes. It is almost 25 years old and i put it in my photo props so that future generations could enjoy it too.

Future Miss America

Today i had an opportunity to visit with an old friend from high school and photograph her beautiful grand baby Caleigh. She showed up in a cute pink, purple and orange dress and was toting her diapers around in a beautiful Vera Bradley quilted diaper bag. Ladies it was great seeing you and thanks for sharing Caleigh with me.

The Goddaugher

Don't worry this is not about some spin off of the "Godfather", i just wanted to share a beautiful slab pot that my Goddaughter Codi made me. Thanks Codi girl, love you!

Gettin' my Group On

Those of you who know my daily habits know that they include bargain shopping, photographing something, checking my facebook and scanning through my emails to find my GroupOn's. Well nothing would go against my love of saving more than letting a coupon expire, so cliff and i headed to Royal Oak for our date night and used a GroupOn coupon i purchased some time ago for O'Tooles.

I love Royal Oak and i wish we could have spent more time there but i had other obligations so we only had time for dinner. We shared a deep fried pretzel, he had a Chicken Grinder and i had a Cobb Salad.

Louisiana Swamp Dog

My sister in law brought her puppy over for a visit this afternoon and he was adorable. His name is Rio, I don't remember what breed he is but by definition he is a Louisiana Swamp Dog.

Protect and Serve

Today i had the pleasure of meeting three very special officers, Saber, a black german sheppard whose special skills revolve around explosives, Bear, a german sheppard who can sniff out any one of 7 different drugs and Jack a blood hound who is a people hunter, he can sniff out the scent of missing people. I was helping a friend out with his fundraising event to benefit Police Dogs and among many supplies there was a Police Dog demonstration.
