This just in, this is what our back screen door looked like when Cliff opened up the back door to check on a noise outside.

Snowmagedon Hits the Hood

Today was the first of three that we are supposed to be getting hit with a big snow storm.  The first round hit in the middle of the night and was easily cleaned up this morning, however by the time the early evening rolled around we were getting about an inch an hour of the heavy wet variety.

I did manage to squeeze in a family photo shoot this afternoon using the red couch i painted a few months ago.  Thanks to the Velloney family for being my "model" test family.

Winter Fun!

I will be the first to admit that spending the day out at Yates today was not my idea of fun, but that is exactly what it was ~ fun!  Greg and Kelly (who now live in Georgia) said they miss things we take for granted here in Michigan like the Cider Mill, so that is where they wanted to shoot their engagement photos!

We all braved the elements and got some fantastic photos!

Today was all about "Texture"

Beauty

Beauty is definitely in the eye of the beholder and if you look you may just find it.  I loved the way this leaf dried and curled up and the stark contrast of the vibrant red leaf.

Heading into 2014

As I "head" into 2014 I am trying to get my groove on by resurrecting my blog.
I use it to preserve bits and pieces of my history and love to look back at it. 

This Kennedy head got me thinking about all the history it holds, it has been apart of my family for about 50 years and I am sure he could spin quite the tale if he could talk.
