Beach Ready

In a final effort to get myself beach ready i had a pedicure today. Watch out sand and sea here we come.

NOTE: i will be taking photos everyday but will not have the internet until Easter, whatever will i do with myself.

Goal Attained

A small battle was won today when my scale finally conceded and admitted that i had lost 10 pounds.  Not a big victory but a milestone none the less.

Grape Hyacinth

I love Grape Hyacinth for its vibrant color, and early blooms but i have never seen like this before, i just love each little individual pod is singular yet they come together to create each bloom.

Morning Meeting

Since January this has been where most of my mornings start. I am not sure if i look worse going in or coming out and i won't be telling a great weight loss story anytime soon, but what i have gained from these morning meetings has been priceless!  

What is this you ask? A tiny little cupcake Crystal brought home from NYC, hey a girl can't live on exercise alone. Why so many empty spots in this brand new box of cupcakes? Never you mind, nothing to see here.

Cheat Treat

This has become one of my favorite "cheat treats" a delicious Skinny Cow ice cream sandwich. While i am not a fan of healthy eating i have grown used to eating what is good for me. But a girl has got to have some chocolate now and again.

Birthday Boy!

I love how everything looked under the black lights especially Autumn's Converse.

Retirement Plan

I know it's not exactly a full proof retirement plan. It can't hurt to dream and that is exactly what Cliff and i do when the pot gets up past a 100 million. We dream about where we would go on vacation and what cars we would buy and how are lives would and wouldn't change.

Somebody stop me . . . or not.

Reluctant Subject

I have really enjoyed getting back into the blogging so i was surprised when suddenly it was dark outside and i realized i had not taken any photos today.

I spent the morning talking to kids about photography at the school but never took a single photograph.

While Autumn is always willing to pose for a photo and of course she did, i was more interested in my Reluctant Subject.

Here he is giving me his not so happy to pose, but if i just submit she will leave me alone quicker look.

Seeing Red!

Got a surprise visit from my friend who just picked up her new Convertible Camaro, it's a hot little red number with racing stripes.  Looking good Sharon, looking good!  Can't wait for a little road trip with the top down.

Does moss grow fat on a rolling stone?

Well i can't say for sure, but is sure looks like it grows fat at the base of my house, yep that is moss, cool huh!

Something i thought yesterday while shooting my first few Macro shots made me think that a good reference for size was to say that i can shoot things that are the size of a pencil eraser. Which got me to thinking how cool would that look and eventually led me to the somewhat flat end of these colored pencils.

Macro Mania

I tried out my new Macro Lens Extender today and while i have not perfected the technique i am in love with the possibilities of what this little gadget is capable of doing. 

The first photo is of a new bud on my Prairie Flower, the second my porch (yep that is what cement looks like) the third is a frayed edge on my jean pocket and the forth is a crocheted washcloth (see march 15th).  

I love the texture and feel of these tight close ups, it seems as if you can almost walk through the rows of the crocheted stitching.

Irish she could stay longer.

I had a surprise visit from a Little Leprechaun this morning at 8:30, that was the surprise part, Crystal is not usually up that early. She was in town working the C.C.H.A. down at the Joe, cheering on her team the Bronco's

Puppy Love

Got to meet the new puppy next door, his name is "Red" and he is an adorable Pit Bull!

Life is Good!

Well today was my birthday and i must be getting wiser in my old age, because the simple pleasures really do mean the world to me. Life is good and i had a wonderful day.

I had a many calls, texts, and FaceBook messages wishing me a happy birthday followed by a surprise visit from my dad and then a wonderful lunch with a friend.

When i came home i had a little surprise from another friend, some hand made goodies:

An adorable little zippered pouch to stash goodies in my purse with my current favorite color orange fabric and a wonderful number print fabric. (who doesn't love number print fabric?)

Two funky, lime green, peace sign wash clothes!

And Autumn not to be out done in the homemade department while simultaneously trying to capture the coveted award of being the most photographed person on my blog, made me some delish red velvet cake balls drizzled with buttercream frosting.

One final attempt to be in the blog hall of fame for number of times photographed here is Autumn trying to capture the overall feeling of today's festivities, which appear to be pure joy.
